  1. So many of these are my favorite horror movies! I mean, call me old fashioned but Psycho is still my fave Hitchcock I think, so I’d have to disagree with those critics. Have any of you guys actually AGREED with the critics about a movie? lol

    1. What do you mean by “the critics?” Film critics are more than just one body. And Psycho was and still is praised; it was more divisive upon its original release, but it certainly wasn’t panned.

  2. Damn I was I was alive when Psycho and Peeping Tom came out. I bet people lost their shit when saw those films because of the times.

  3. Very, very minor point on Predator…they were not mercenaries, they were SPEC-OPS. That’s why they were selected for the mission, quiet professionals.

  4. The fact that anyone thought that The Thing wasn’t absolutely freaking awesome and terrifying blows my mind. The remake absolutely blew the 1950s original out of the water imo.

  5. Dear YouTube- I did not come to watch this video to see an ad about impeachment. I came here to watch a good top 10 video. I do not want to see that again. I already down voted it. Please and thanks YouTube.

  6. If The Exorcist was ‘panned’ by the critics upon release, how did it end up with 8 oscar nominations. Also, Alien wasn’t exactly ‘panned’. If you actually want to mention a horror classic which was panned upon release by major critics, mention The Evil Dead (1981) or Phantasm (1978).

  7. The Thing (1982) was one of my favorite movies of all time. I love how they go the atmosphere just right.
